Michelle Atlas is a change catalyst with a passion for helping leaders strengthen their individual and organizational resiliency, and manage the complexities of successful organizational transition. Her diverse background as a trainer spans the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
As adjunct faculty at the Eastern Management Development Center, in Shepherdstown and the Western Management Development Center, in Denver, training facilities dedicated to developing career leaders for the federal government, Michelle facilitates the "Resiliency Advantage" seminar. She has provided coaching services to faculty at Nazareth College and provides continuous training to multiple levels of leadership at Finger Lakes Community College. Other clients include The Workforce Diversity Network, The Mental Health Association of Monroe County, Rochester Works Career Center, and the National Cancer Institute, at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Prior to establishing Michelle Atlas Consulting she spent 15 years designing and managing not-for-profit programs, and providing coaching services to adults in transition, including dislocated employees, and people with disabilities navigating their return to work. In her role as board officer and consultant to the Workforce Diversity Network Inc., Michelle has partnered with the executive director to build a world-class organization committed to education on the benefits of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Michelle holds a degree in American Studies, and has completed extensive study in the areas of strengthening resiliency and managing personal and organizational transition. She is a Certified Resiliency Facilitator, and a Certified Workforce Development Professional.
Michelle’s passion for the topics of resiliency and change management stem from her own lifelong commitment to discovering the opportunities for transformation inherent in disruptive transitions. She is most often recognized for her ability to foster a trust based learning environment that encourages authentic, open communication, self-reflection and a commitment to actionable skills that inspire change.
